Planting tips: raised bed vegetables

  1. Fill beds generously: Top raised beds and containers fully. Vegetables root through the whole depth.
  2. Rotate crops: Move heavy feeders around the beds season to season to keep the soil balanced.
  3. Keep moisture even: Mulch the surface and water before beds dry out, especially for leafy crops.
  4. Top up between crops: Refresh with compost or the nutrient pack between plantings.
  5. Watch spacing: Give each crop its room. Crowded beds compete for light, water, and minerals.
